Goat Skin Goat skin is by far our most popular thumb leather. It is recommended for general purpose use. it is reasonably durable, firm and easy to work. The pebble texture helps seams disappear. Thickness: 0.8mm - 0.9mm plus or minus 0.1mm

Ring Lizard Skin AKA Water Monitor (varanus salvator - Indonesia) Lizard skins are very durable and have an elegant look on a bow.It is hard to the feel and more difficult to work than goat. Skins are about 250mm by 250mm not including legs or heads. I have been told that there bay be problems with customs when shipping them outside of the U.S. even though I have also been told that theyt are not endangered species in most places that they are harvested and that they taste like chicken. Thickness: 0.5mm - 0.6mm plus or minus 0.1mm
